Black Mixed Eyelet Capelet Maxi Dress

Inspired by the French bohemian style of the 1970s, this black maxi dress is defined by its capelet neckline, formed by a tiered ruffle that falls over the shoulders and frames the upper body. The layered construction gives the neckline a soft, rounded shape, adding volume around the shoulders while leaving the silhouette beneath relaxed and fluid. The trapeze shape falls loosely through the body, creating movement as you walk, before finishing with a small gathered ruffle at the hem.

Two scales of Japanese-embroidered circular eyelet are combined in a patchwork design, creating variation in the pattern and texture across the dress. The contrast between the different eyelet sizes adds depth to the black fabric, while the openwork embroidery brings lightness to the full silhouette. A voile slip is included and can be worn underneath for additional coverage or removed to reveal more of the embroidered eyelet.
